Still time to enroll for Fall 2014 at MSU

There is still time for new or returning students
to register for Morehead State University’s 2014 fall academic term. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 18, at MSU or its
regional campuses and registration is available online.

MSU and AAUW hosts space camp

State University’s Space Science Center, in partnership with the American
Association of University Women (AAUW), offered SpaceTrek, an immersive
one-week camp for girls entering their sophomore, junior or senior year of high
school July 12-19 at the MSU Space Science Center.

Frieden, Rogers to host SOAR “Health Impact Series” at Morehead Conference Center

Morehead State University and St. Claire Regional Medical Center will present Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and U.S. Rep. Hal Rogers as part of a "Health Impact Series" under the new Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR) initiative. The event will be Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Morehead Conference Center, 111 East First Street, in Morehead. This will be the fourth in a series of public events in Eastern Kentucky.

Johnston named Administrator of the Year

Morehead State University graduate Jacqueline Johnston, Montgomery County
Schools chief administrative officer, has been selected as the top
administrator in the state by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators

Journey of Hope Trans-America cycling team visits MSU

State University hosted the 2014 Journey of Hope Trans-America cycling team.
The group of cyclists is comprised of college men from across the United States
who are members of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. This
year’s event featured 19 cyclists and nine crew members, including MSU student
Randall Roof of Florence.
