MSU closed July 4
In observance of the Independence Day holiday, Morehead State University will be closed Monday, July 4.

‘Golden Age of Radio’ to debut July 2
Morehead State Public Radio (WMKY, 90.3FM) has announced the addition of “The Golden Age of Radio” to its program schedule. The new program can be heard Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. beginning July 2.

New book describes the search for habitable extrasolar planets

Dr. Wilson González-Espada, Morehead State University’s associate professor of physics and science education, and Abel Méndez, associate professor of physics and director of the Planetary Habitability Laboratory at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo, have published a book describing the search for potentially habitable extrasolar planets and what the best candidates are.



SGA officers for 2016-17 announced

Adam Abbott has been elected president of Morehead State University’s Student Government Association. He will serve as the student representative on MSU’s Board of Regents for the 2016-17 academic year.



Four with MSU ties vying for Miss Kentucky crown

Three Morehead State University students and one recent graduate are among the 30 contestants that will compete in the 2016 Miss Kentucky Pageant. Those contestants are Annie Franklin of Winchester; Karlee Crose of Mt. Sterling; Dakoda Trenary of Corinth; and Kelsey Ulery of Owingsville.
